Living life at its best

A geek's journal on things that did not matter the most.

Life goes on

Monday, February 19, 2007

Most of the stuff are still in the boxes though hehe since most of the time are spent at my in-laws. Still no Internet connection, this entry is just on borrowed time at work *shhhh*. Why? Well, for one, my wife will be delivering any time now so should anything happen when I'm away at the office, there's someone to take care of her. Oh yea, he's a boy - daddy's boy hahaha

This is definately a new experience for me - before there was me (alone) and then I married my beloved wife. And now, as real as it gets, a new human being is coming to our life very very soon. Happy is the word right now (although sometimes it does get overwhelming). I'm gonna be a daddy and I have no experience! I guess it'll come naturally. Any parenting advice for a
daddy-to-be is much appreciated :D

Another thing that made me happy is that I've got my long awaited Canon EOS 400D. w000h0000!! Now plus that and the upcoming baby - I just like to call it a double bonanza! This year is definately good year for me and I can't ask for more (but welcome anything good in life hehe).

Now I can start seriously on photography - although I've to wait for the baby's arrival first. Let's see if I could make a few extra dollars (or Ringgit Malaysia) with my cameras hehe (Psstt Ab4h, if you got any wedding invitation somewhere after March, give me a call - I'll be your backup photographer!)

That's it for now. Ohh yeah did I mentioned to you that I still don't have Internet at home? This is what you get when you moved to a new place and had to deal with TMNet.

As usual, my photograph for the entry, in HDR, using PowerShot S3 (I don't have the time to play around with the 400D yet - the pictures that I took are basically not worth uploading)

Istana Budaya (Cultural Palace)

Some kind of Eagle/Hawk/Falcon - I was amazed at how many of them were at my in-laws'. This particular HDR is done from single JPEG, manipulated the exposure in Photoshop and loaded in Photomatix. Not the truest form of HDR but I kinda like the outcome :)

Golden Deers of Sunway Resort

Typical Sun beaming through the clouds.

Sunway Resort Hotel - The lights at Sunway area were spectacular!

One of those morning, on my way home after working through the night.

Gong Xi Fa Cai to those who celebrates!

Why did u choose the 400D over a Nikon? Say the D80?
I have the 350D at home :)

Lordy: S3 tetap simpan - backup camera aku :)

Solace: All comes down to personal preference :) Feature wise, pretty much the same but the 9-AF points, Canon's 10MP sensors (although not really a deal breaker), automatic sensor cleaning and price tag made the 400D the winner. And I also love those "L" glasses from Canon :)

350D? Come and show us some of your 350D stuffs :D

After looking at your pics, u want me to show u my pics? Malu la. Kita main2 je ambik gambar...
But I have to say that I was inspired and tried the HDR after looking at your pics :)

Solace: No reason to be malu malu :) Kite pun main main jek amik gambar hehe but I must warn you, HDR is kinda addictive once you got the hang of it :)
