Sometimes it's a surprise

Wednesday, December 05, 2007

My previous entry regarding HINDRAF rally and a wedding gave me quite a shock. Well at least when I check the hit statistic that is...

WTF??!!! I thought Statcounter's DB has gone mad! Well, actually it's not. The sudden spike was due to the fact that MalaysiaKini.Com is linking my particular post at its website. (Off course this has been removed late this evening)

Ohh I'm not into poohlitics, nor am I aligning to some movement of the sort. Life is good and I just like to take photos. And I agree with my father-in-law - "Bukan susah nak jadi susah, bukan senang nak jadi senang" (Translate: "It's not hard to have a hard live, it's not easy to have a good life"). Go figure :-)

Raya Mood, in no particular order :-)

Monday, October 29, 2007

I have no clue on what to write on this entry. So instead, I'll let the pictures do the talking, in no particular order. There must be reason when people say, a picture is worth a thousand words :P Anyway, how was your Aidil Fitri? Mine was good, considering that I'm spending my very first Aidil Fitri with junior. It's just a complete thing :-)

How do you start your day eh?

Cloud 9

Monday, October 01, 2007

I guess this is what they mean by saying the sky is the limit. These were shot around Sungai Buloh area on two different occasions - 1 sunny day and 1 wet day. Just another lazy update to the blog :-) before the the big Aidilfitri. Am going back to Taiping and then back to my in-laws and straight to Terengganu for some relaxation.

A wet, wet morning.

Cotton Candies... er I mean clouds.

P/s: Ignore the foregorund of the last picture... It's an eye-sore, it is the clouds that forced me to press the shutter released button.

Life in HDR - I am an HDR junkie :-D

Sunday, April 15, 2007

Yeap. I am an HDR junkie. Now with my new toy, my HDR experience is much more fun and "addictive" hehe. Now I have RAW to play with. But single RAW HDR convertion is a tad bit trickier though. You gotta correctly expose the shot you're taking. In other words, it gotta have perfect exposure or else it will not look that good - especially when you want to catch the dynamic range of the sky and clouds. You'll lost the dynamic details and it'll come out kinda flat. Be it directly converting RAW to HDR or converting the RAW files to JPEG first, it is still the same.

And unlike PowerShot S3 with the EVF (Electronic View Finder) and swiveling LCD that gives you a preview of shot before you take it, the optical view finder on the EOS 400D does not - since you are looking directly through the lense itself, it makes exposing a shot a bit trickier. Though the DOF preview does help, in a way. But once you got it right, you'll be wishing for more and more!

As usual, what is this post without HDR imaging. If you like my HDR stuff, please drop by at my FlickR space. I could use a constuctive comments on my photos :)

Another way of looking up Plaza Perangsang - 3 exposure HDR using Canon EOS 400D

Syscalls is pretty proud of his car in HDR - 3 long exposure at Putrajaya using Canon EOS 400D

Posing for the photographer - Single RAW HDR convertion at Masjid Wilayah using Canon EOS 400D.

One ring to bind them - Single RAW HDR at Masjid Wilayah using Canon EOS 400D.

Masjid Wilayah - 3 exposure HDR using Canon PowerShot S3

Masjid Wilayah - 3 exposure HDR using Canon PowerShot S3

Drop by at my FlickR for more HDR dose.

I'm really living my life at its best

Monday, March 19, 2007

No words can describe how good my life is now. No sentence can describe the joy and happiness I now feel. I am now a proud father of adorable baby boy. He came into our life at 4:14PM, 15th March, 2007 in SJMC, Subang Jaya. My wife is doing fine, though she is still recuperating from the labor at my in-laws. What can I say except I thank God for all the great things in life, my life especially. 2007 is a great year for me. To all who came and visit, and also sending best regards and wishes - I treasure them, and will forever appreciate it. I want to take the opportunity to say Thank You all!

Daddy's boy - 1 day old. I love you so much!

Daddy's boy sleeping.

My priceless treasure. Nothing compares to you and mommy.

Life begins on a new path for me, and it is all for the best.

P/s: Thanks to LV and Nina for visiting us :)

Life goes on

Monday, February 19, 2007

Most of the stuff are still in the boxes though hehe since most of the time are spent at my in-laws. Still no Internet connection, this entry is just on borrowed time at work *shhhh*. Why? Well, for one, my wife will be delivering any time now so should anything happen when I'm away at the office, there's someone to take care of her. Oh yea, he's a boy - daddy's boy hahaha

This is definately a new experience for me - before there was me (alone) and then I married my beloved wife. And now, as real as it gets, a new human being is coming to our life very very soon. Happy is the word right now (although sometimes it does get overwhelming). I'm gonna be a daddy and I have no experience! I guess it'll come naturally. Any parenting advice for a
daddy-to-be is much appreciated :D

Another thing that made me happy is that I've got my long awaited Canon EOS 400D. w000h0000!! Now plus that and the upcoming baby - I just like to call it a double bonanza! This year is definately good year for me and I can't ask for more (but welcome anything good in life hehe).

Now I can start seriously on photography - although I've to wait for the baby's arrival first. Let's see if I could make a few extra dollars (or Ringgit Malaysia) with my cameras hehe (Psstt Ab4h, if you got any wedding invitation somewhere after March, give me a call - I'll be your backup photographer!)

That's it for now. Ohh yeah did I mentioned to you that I still don't have Internet at home? This is what you get when you moved to a new place and had to deal with TMNet.

As usual, my photograph for the entry, in HDR, using PowerShot S3 (I don't have the time to play around with the 400D yet - the pictures that I took are basically not worth uploading)

Istana Budaya (Cultural Palace)

Some kind of Eagle/Hawk/Falcon - I was amazed at how many of them were at my in-laws'. This particular HDR is done from single JPEG, manipulated the exposure in Photoshop and loaded in Photomatix. Not the truest form of HDR but I kinda like the outcome :)

Golden Deers of Sunway Resort

Typical Sun beaming through the clouds.

Sunway Resort Hotel - The lights at Sunway area were spectacular!

One of those morning, on my way home after working through the night.

Gong Xi Fa Cai to those who celebrates!
